Special event planning
Anyone who has attempted to plan a promotional event knows that it takes a lot of time, organization, and attention to detail. Typically, an event will swamp a PR team unless there is outside help to tend to the all the particulars. Heidelberg PR has produced successful events of all sorts, including open houses, grand openings, groundbreakings, employee, donor and customer appreciation events, sales events, fundraising events, anniversary celebrations and more – always keeping within the budget set by our clients.
In addition to creating a variety of internal communication tools, such as newsletters and internal web sites, Heidelberg PR coordinates special events to raise morale and create harmony and goodwill among internal customers.
Waterside at Coquina Key Resident Events
Faced with a prolonged construction agenda, the developer for a nearby St. Petersburg condominium community recognized that owners and tenants living in the community deserved some appreciation events for their patience as property renovations were completed.
Centered around project milestones or holidays, the Waterside resident appreciation events brought community members together to celebrate the beauty of their property while sharing in good food, good music and good times.
Strategically, these events helped ease some of the construction inconveniences, and, coupled with a full communications program designed and implemented by Heidelberg PR, they contributed to a cohesive feeling of contentment about life at Waterside.
Waterside at Coquina Key/MarineMax Boat Show
As a means to showcasing this waterfront property located directly on Tampa Bay, Waterside joined forces with MarineMax to host a boat show at Waterside. The event was promoted to leading MarineMax customers and prospects, as well as Waterside residents, prospects and nearby neighbors. A special VIP reception for real estate brokers was staged in the soon-to-be-opened Waterside Yacht Club. With the help of on-site promotions from a local jazz radio station, Waterside gave property tours and highlighted community features and amenities to interested sales prospects and Realtors all weekend long.
Westfield Brandon Grand Opening
A local shopping center was planning a grand opening for a large expansion involving the addition of numerous new retail tenants and restaurants. Heidelberg PR coordinated both pre- and post-event publicity and promotions to ensure the success of our client’s event as well as ongoing interest in the new additions to their shopping facility.
Residence Hall Launch
In March 2005, our client, a local university, needed to fill a new campus residence hall — the first housing facility ever built on this particular campus. Leveraging a residence hall groundbreaking event with a series of upcoming grand opening celebrations and a coinciding parking garage and campus bookstore groundbreaking, Heidelberg PR combined strategically placed ads and newspaper inserts with postcard mailings, e-blasts and web promotions, and a host of printed materials to provide an integrated marketing plan to ensure the campus’s success in one of their overarching goals for 2006.
