Sun Coast Hospital 2006-2008 Organizational Transition
In Q4, 2006, Sun Coast Hospital learned that its business partner of several years planned to abandon its relationship with Sun Coast in pursuit of a new market in another county.
Heidelberg PR assisted Sun Coast in the months leading up to the official termination of the relationship, communicating with both the internal staff audience and the external media audience.
Eventually, Sun Coast was forced to make some difficult decisions, and Heidelberg PR developed a communication plan and messaging to assist the CEO and his executive team in communicating with the hospital board and employees.
After several months, Sun Coast accepted a purchase offer from another health care organization, and at the same time filed for bankruptcy. Again, Heidelberg PR provided a full communication plan and complete messaging for multiple audiences to refer to when discussing these developments.
In addition, our firm worked in tandem with the new healthcare partner to field a series of media inquiries regarding the details of these announcements.
